![]() J.S. Wilsoncroft knocked it out of the ballpark when she wrote this book. This book is so packed full of mystery and intrigue that it will keep you guessing to the very end. I love how Breanna is strong minded and not afraid to be herself even in the presence of the swoon-worthy Dillon. Wilsoncroft gets major brownie points for mentioning the 50’s. Ms. Wilsoncroft is a comic genius as this book is laced with humor throughout its pages. I loved the book so much that I hated leaving the world she created to return to my adult life. If you love mystery, humor, and romance then is the book for you. I can’t wait for book two in this series! I must know what happens!!! -Michelle Jetton-

![]() Most definitely was the perfect ending to an awesome series. I was super sad to see it end, but I loved the way Christy wrapped things up. Sorry no spoilers here. You have to go read it to see who Avery ends up with. It still had a good bit of action and suspense in this one. Also had quite a few shocking moments in it. You will not be able to put it down until you finish reading it. -Michelle Jetton ![]() I loved Ianni in "The Many Lives of Avery Snow" so I was super excited to read this one. It was nice to be able to see the world through Ianni's eyes as a new human. I didn't want it to end and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what happens next to Ianni, Avery and the gang in "The Unraveling of Avery Snow". Can't wait!!! Good job Christy Sloat!! Keep up the good work!! -Michelle Jetton ![]() I could not put the book down. It is a real page turner. I kept wanting to know what was gonna to happen next. The book kept me on the edge of my seat. It is a perfect blend of romance, action, and the paranormal. The characters seemed so real that I fell for all of them. I will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. It is definitely a book I would want to read over and over again. Truly it has become one of my favorites right up there with Harry Potter and The Twilight Series. Keep up the good work Christy Sloat. I look forward to the next book. :) -Michelle Jetton ![]() Exciting second book in "The Brown House" series. Brylee Branson is one brave girl to be dealing with all that she goes through in this book. Thank goodness she has the love of her boyfriend and support of her best friends to help her cope with the fact that two of the people she cares for most have been cursed. This thrilling book will keep you on the edge of your seat right up until the end. Will Brylee save the people she loves or will she suffer the same fate? You will have to read it and see. -Michelle Jetton ![]() I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!!! It blew me out of the water. It has the perfect blend of romance, thrill, mystery and suspense. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. It left me wanting more. Kudos Christy Sloat!! I can't wait to read what happens next in "The Crimson Key". -Michelle Jetton ![]() I thought K.D. had a nice writing style in the first book, but was absolutely in awe of how much she has grown as a writer in this second book. I was also very pleased to see that Krissa’s character has grown herself and that she has made better choices this time around. I love the fact that there is a lot more mystery and suspense in this sequel. I could not stop reading it. I was so happy to see the possibility of Krissa finding “true" happiness. I understand now why Braiden was how he was. It didn’t give him the right to treat her like he did as we all go through stuff, but finally seeing the “real" Braiden changed my feelings on him a little. I never saw what happened in the end coming. It left me wanting more because I HAVE to know what happens to Krissa. Bravo K.D. Ferguson. Job well done on this book. I look forward to the next one. -Michelle Jetton ![]() K.D's writing style seemed to flow nicely in this book. I didn't always agree with Krissa's decisions, however, I can see that they are based on the the modern notion of how teenagers think. I felt bad for Krissa, seeing her make those common mistakes that most girls make. I'm intrigued to read the next book because I want her to find "true" happiness and be able to see her character grow. -Michelle Jetton ![]() An author has three jobs. Her first job is to make her characters relatable. Christy Sloat did just that. I could put myself in Rory's shoes completely. I felt every emotion that went through her body as she tried to discover hidden secrets of the Asylum. Their second job is to either create a story we've never heard or put a spin on one we are familiar with. This book is a FABULOUS twist on a BELOVED fairytale. Kuddos Christy! Last but not least....a writer's job job is to make the world they create come alive. Once again Christy has blown me away with her words. I could smell, touch, hear, and even taste everything that Christy described. She has such a way with words. When you read her books you are there. You BECOME her characters. "Slumber" is without a doubt one of my new favorites to read. If you read it you won't regret it. Just to express how in awe of this book I was and am....I read it in 5 1/2 hours...I COULD NOT put it down. Christy I have been with you since Avery Snow. I have loved every book since then. Your gift has grown with every new world you've introduced us to. You have a true talent for words. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the future and can't wait to read the next book in this series. -Michelle Jetton |
