This is recipe is always a winner for breakfast at my house. It taste like buttery, sweet, golden brown goodness! It is easy to make even for someone like me, who had never made French toast before. I dare to compare it to one of the famous breakfast chain recipes. I got this recipe from one of my favorite cook books "Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 2"
.

Ingredients:
4 eggs
2/3 cup whole milk (2% milk tastes yummy also)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

6 slices thick bread (I find Texas toast works best but regular sliced bread will work but be careful as they tend to fall apart if too saturated)

Garnish:
powdered sugar
butter (if desired)

On the Side:
maple syrup

*Makes 2 servings of 3 slices each

1. Whisk together eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl

2. Heat a large cast-iron or nonstick skillet over medium/low heat. When the pan is hot, add 1 tablespoon of butter. If the butter smokes, your pan it too hot, turn down the heat.

3.Drop each slice of bread into the batter, drip off the extra batter (if not you will get burnt pieces of batter on your toast) then drop the bread into the buttered pan. Cook each battered bread slice for 1  1/2
to 2 minutes per side or until golden brown. Add more butter to the pan as needed to cook all the French toast.

4. This recipe serves 3 slices of French toast per plate. Dust each serving with a little powdered sugar (tap it through a strainer) and add your favorite maple sugar on the top or on the side. Enjoy!

This is a recipe I make all the time for my family. I also, have made it several times for different occasions and it always turns out to be a big success. This is a sweet and tangy BBQ, that is sure to be enjoyed by all.

Ingredients:

* one 3lb boneless shoulder roast or substitute it for a 3lb boneless loin roast for a lower fat BBQ, trimmed

*1 package of  McCormick Slow Cookers BBQ pulled pork

*1/2 cup ketchup

*1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar (I like dark brown sugar for a sweeter BBQ)

*1/3 cup cider vinegar (apple cider vinegar taste the best to me)

*I also sometimes add a little Worcestershire sauce to give it a punch of flavor

* your favorite BBQ sauce to add while cooking or after whichever is desired

Directions:

1. Place pork in slow cooker (make sure your slow cooker is turned on, forgot this step a few times)

2.
Mix Seasoning Mix, ketchup, brown sugar, (Worcestershire and BBQ sauce if desired) and vinegar until well blended. Pour over pork. Put on lid.

3. Cook 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH. After cooking is finished remove pork from slow cooker.

4. Shred pork, using 2 forks. Return pork to slow cooker; mix and heat with sauce before serving. Serve on sandwich rolls or slider rolls, if you take a liking to.

Slow Cooker Tip: For best results, do not remove lid cover during cooking.

Cook-Out

Great Burgers
Great Shakes
Great Service

Cook-out is a chain restaurant that has recently opened a location here in Rome, GA.  I hadn't  been in yet but I heard a lot of good things about it from around town. That being the case, I made a point the next restaurant I would eat at would be their's. Everything they state in their slogan is true.  Their famous "cooked out door style" food is phenomenal! If you like mouth-watering, chargrilled hamburgers, 40 heavenly flavors of creamery style  milkshakes, excellent service at a great price, then this is the place for you. They also provide other appetizing items on their menu like  hot dogs, chargrilled chicken, BBQ sandwiches, quesadillas, and chicken wraps. Cook Out promises always fresh never frozen food. To get the biggest bang for your buck I chose the "Cook-out Tray", you get a main dish, 2 sides and a drink for $4.99. You can also upgrade your drink to a "fancy" milkshake for just $1. The entire meal was absolutely scrumptious! I will definitely be going back and suggesting it to all my friends. To learn all about the Cook-Out and to find a location near you check out their website at http://www.cookout.com/.
