Delta is my favorite airline so we went with them. Since they're my favorite I had high hopes that I would have a good flight. Brayden and Ross were greeted nicely. The flight attendant who was my Mother's age was kind to me and even made it possible for Brayden to meet the pilot and co-pilot since it was his first airplane flight. Unfortunately the young flight attendant who was all hellos and smiles to Ross and Brayden instantly frowned and had a sour attitude when I approached her. Being a thicker girl I went ahead and asked her for a seat belt extender. She tried to ignore me so I politely asked again. She frowned and mumbled she would take care of it. We went to our seats and I tried to wait patiently for it. It was getting close to take off so my husband politely asked the young flight attendant again. She said she would get it, but didn't once again and instead got drinks and miscellaneous things for other passengers that were more in shape than me. I started getting nervous so my husband asked the flight attendant who was my Mother's age. She kindly and promptly got me a seatbelt extender and took very good care of us the rest of the flight. The young flight attendant gladly helped my husband and son, but would frown and essentially ignore me the entire flight. Anxiety tried to get the best of me so I watched the sun rise and looked at the beautiful clouds while I listened to Rachel Hollis book, "Girl Wash Your Face" on Audible. I tried not to let it show that my feelings were a bit hurt so I faked it with the best of them, put a smile on my face, and took a selfie with the kiddo. I was completely polite as I exited the plane. The flight attendant my Mother's age rocked her job, but the younger one needs a lesson in being kind to people of all shapes and sizes. Unfortunately the same thing happened on the second Delta flight we were on that day. The flight attendant my Mother's age was completely kind and helpful to me and got me a seatbelt extender promptly. The young male flight attendant frowned and ignored me. My husband asked him several times for an extender for me, but would not get it. He was overly helpful to everyone else on the plane though. I don't know what it is about the younger flight attendants on Delta, The flight attendants my Mother's age rocked their jobs ,but the younger ones need a lesson in being kind to people of all shapes and sizes.
