I give this movie a 5 out of 5. This is a hilarious movie starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. Sandra Bullock plays FBI special agent Ashburn who is reluctantly paired with foul mouthed Boston cop Mullins (Melissa McCarthy). Mullins manic and violent style of police work clashes severely with Ashburn's always by the book approach. This makes for some hysterical scenes that almost had me in tears from all the laughter. The two are assigned a case to take down a ruthless drug Lord that goes by the name of Larkin. Surprisingly, during their investigation, Mullins' brother, Jason, who is no stranger to getting into trouble with the law, is seen on a surveillance video hanging out with well known members of Larkin's gang. Jason clams he is not working with Larkin and that he's only spying on him to help out his sister and the police with the case. Eventually, Larkin trusts Jason with some important information about a large shipment of drugs coming into town. Unfortunately, it was a test of Jason's loyalty (that he failed) and Larkin sent some of his gang to shoot him. This puts him in the hospital in critical condition and causes a rift between Mullins and Ashburn. Even though they are split up, neither cop gives up on their mission to take down Larkin. During a interrogation, they end up reuniting and discover the whereabouts to Larkin's secret hideout. They equip themselves with assault weapons from Mullins personal stash, form a plan, and infiltrate the hideout. Larkin's identity is finally revealed at the end of the movie and I have to say it was a big surprise. I enjoyed this movie a lot and can see myself watching it over and over again.
