A house shrouded in mystery.....a grumpy, old, reclusive neighbor.....possible
murder. Sound intriguing enough to watch yet?

Monster House
is a favorite October movie in my house that we watch every year. Every time I watch this it makes me of think of Rear Window with James Stewart in it...a childlike version of Rear Window anyway. DJ and Chowder spy some weird goings on across the street through a telescope in Dj's room. They soon learn the horrifying truth that the house is ALIVE.With the help of their new friend, Jenny, they must discover the secrets that are trapped inside before it's too late.

With the voice talents of an all star cast and a story that draws you in from the very beginning I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars. I definitely recommend Monster House as one of your Halloween movies to watch this year. As far as the little kid scare factor goes my 6 old did jump a little when the house came to life, but after some reassurance it is "just pretend" he was fine. Just be aware.

Favorite Quotes:

Chowder: I paid 28 dollars for that ball! I had to mow ten lawns and ask my mom for a dollar 26 times!

DJ: I've just... murdered a guy!
Chowder: Naw... when it's an accident, it's called manslaughter.

Chowder: (whispering) It mocks us with its... *house-ness*!

Officer Lister: That sounds like the 'dangerous creature'! I'm gonna go check it out.
[sneaks toward the house]

Officer Landers: Gosh, just like tryin' to wrangle a puppy...

Nice job to all who worked on this movie!

    Saturdays are for.....

    Caturday

    I love my 3 kitties.
Tuesday is my sassy Russian Blue doll. Miss Kitty is my laid back Calico doll, and Buddy likes to keep to himself.

Who doesn't like a good movie?

If you asked me what my favorite movie was I couldn't name just one because I love so many.

    The genre's I love:

    * You can always catch me watching Disney or a Hallmark movie.
