I have been rocking all A's and a 4.0 GPA in school. I was nominated and invited to join the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society for my college ,Liberty University, and I have accepted. My induction ceremony is July 16th. They're doing it online due to COVID-19. I have always had to work twice as hard to make the grades I do. My Mom and I have always thought I had ADD growing up but they didn't really test for it then. It's also been a little bit of a struggle being so far from family and trying to still do everything I like to do as a Mom for Brayden. I say all that to say if you are questioning whether you would be able to make it in college due to one thing or another, take it from me, don't let anything hold you back. Seize the day and go after your dreams! You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to with God. Philippians 4:13 "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me." Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" To God be the Glory! I love you all! |
Some fun on Tik Tok

![]() This was our first time using liquid chalk markers and we loved it! I will say you do have to shake it like it states in the directions, but don't do what I did. I shook so hard on the first try that it poured out so make sure to have a paper towel handy. It also helps if the liquid chalk drips. It wipes off really easy. I love all the color options offered in this box. There's a little bit of everything. You can see our creations we have made so far below. Another tip.....they do wipe off really easy before they dry so be aware. Also I have found that AFTER it dries if you spray hair spray on it to keep your art in place but I repeat do say AFTER it has dried. Otherwise it will cause it to look streaky. It did tried to form a "cloud" around my pictures but I waited until it dried and just touched it up with the paper towel. Another tip I learned is that the colors will mix so draw the bulk of your picture on one side and add details to the other side. As far as cleanup goes I sprayed a little windex and wiped it right off. All in all I REALLY loved Gotideal Liquid Chalk Markers and look forward to my next project with them. This is what I did with the liquid chalk markers on the front door for Easter. The white bunny was my first try at it before the pink one. We used liquid chalk markers and created a stained glass window on the backdoor. Brayden loves drawing with them. The last picture is his creation. We had such a great time coloring eggs. We used Dudley 's Tattoo Fun Easter Egg Decorating Kit. It was tons of fun. I will say we did find the tattoos a little problematic as we couldn't get them to go on the eggs easily. Other than that though we thoroughly enjoyed it. These were the brightest eggs we have ever made because we added two of the color dye tablets to each cup instead of just one. (We had two kits.) I think my favorite color would have to be the green ones. Brayden's favorite color was the orange ones. Which one is your favorite color? Here is a fun little video to enjoy that I made on TikTok to show all the fun we had. By the way, yes that is a song from Blue's Clues. I grew up with Steve on Blue's Clues. My son grew up with Joe on Blue's Clues. I was so excited to say Blue's Clues come to life again for a new generation so welcome Joshua Dela Cruz to the Blue's Clues family! I'm so proud of how my stained glass window turned out that I made with Gotideal Liquid Chalk Markers. It was a LONG process and was way harder than I thought it would be but I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out. The painters tape took a while to put in place, but it did the job. It kept the liquid chalk from running and mixing. I once again used hairspray to help it set and it worked perfectly again. If you would like to see the other project I have made with the Gotideal Liquid Chalk Markers and my review of the Markers here you go. http://www.michellebradshawauthor.com/mondays-are-for/gotideal-liquid-chalk-markers ![]() Perfect way to start off Make Something Monday with one of my favorite photos from Chalk Your Walk yesterday. I have always wanted to take a photo like this with Brayden so I decided yesterday I would draw balloons as one of my drawings. "You are my GREATEST adventure" Disney Pixar Up Our rainbows Brayden and I made for Chalk Your Walk. "Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue. And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true." Dorothy Gale, The Wizard of Oz Brayden said this was a human carwash. He said humans walk through and get a carwash type shower. I give him kuddos for using his imagination. It makes me think of one of the inventions from Meet The Robinsons. We must all keep moving forward! “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” Walt Disney Brayden's little sunshine for Chalk Your Walk. "You are my Sunshine" ![]() Brayden drew a picture of the TARDIS and The Doctor with a Sonic Screwdriver for Chalk Your Walk. He said Dr Who could save us from Covid-19. “I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams.” Dr Who My yellow fish and Brayden's yellow bunny for Chalk Your Walk. "How wonderful yellow is. It stands for the sun." Vincent Van Gogh ![]() Brayden's mouse with his cookie. He said it was from If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. “If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk." If You Give A Mouse A Cookie Book by Laura Numeroff ![]() My Lion for Chalk Your Walk. “It’s the Circle of Life and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, ’til we find our place on the path unwinding.” – The Lion King Brayden said Miss Misty was the butterfly and that there was snow on the ground but Brayden turned it into grass. Mermaid Wishes ![]() Even in these dark, uncertain times, the Joy of the Lord is our strength. I originally had thought I was going to write a weight loss motivational post for this picture as that was the original intent when I got this little paper out of my fortune cookie. However, as I sat to write this Motivational Monday post I realized this little scrap of paper, or at least the phrase on it, meant so much more. With everything going on in this world life can seem uncertain and quite bleak. Leaving all jokes of toilet paper aside, you know what I'm referring to, it's scary not knowing what's going to happen. It's scary not knowing when it's all going to end. We have to remember though the beginning is always hardest and that God has already seen the end of this thing. We have got to band together during this. I don't mean physically. I know we are supposed to be observing social distancing, which the kiddo and I are doing that. What I mean is emotionally. Check in on family and friends through text or a phone call or even a video chat. Social media can be beneficial, but it can also be destructive. Let's use it for good. Let's band together and support each other and build each other. Let's be the light in what feels like such a dark and gloomy world right now. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can't promise you how far away we are from it, but the only way we are going to reach it is by doing it together. As I always say remember that you are LOVED, you are WANTED, and you are APPRECIATED. I love you all! Michelle Bradshaw Please enjoy this video, Natalie Grant - In The End (Official Music Video). We had a blast putting together Emmet's Thricycle from The Lego Movie 2! Brayden did have a little bit of a rough time with the wheels, but MAMA TO THE RESCUE.....together we were able to figure it out and build it together. Brayden and I love making muffins in my Babycakes Triple Delight. We decided to use The Really Great Food Company Gluten Free Vanilla Muffin Mix that I received as a gift from my wonderful secret sister. Thank you Sis! The muffins were scrumptious! ![]() The Babycakes Triple Delight is truly a "delight" to use. ;)
