I would like to introduce "The Joyful Jacki Drane" as my "Artist of the Month" for the month of November. Here is the personal interview that I was blessed with.

Michelle Bradshaw: Tell us about yourself.

Jacki Drane: A little bit about me, I am a wife and mom. I love Jesus, my family, music, running, and missions. Currently, I live in Memphis, TN with my husband and three kids where we serve at the University of Memphis as missionaries with Chi Alpha, which is the Assemblies of God ministry to serve college campuses. I love my job with Chi Alpha, which mainly consists of leading worship, reaching out to college students and international students, teaching in Bible studies and weekly meetings, and mentoring young women in what it means to follow Christ.

I started leading worship with Chi Alpha at the University of Tennessee as a student who was involved in the ministry. That opportunity evolved over many years into other worship leading opportunities and songwriting.

In addition to mission and music, I love to run and read. I’m currently training for my 8th marathon and just finished my second season coaching Elementary and Middle School cross-country for the school my children attend (I got to coach all three of my own kids, which was quite a bit of fun). When I’m not running with my kids, I spend quite a lot of time cuddled up with my daughters reading books together.

Michelle Bradshaw: It is so nice to meet you. Did you grow up in a musical family? How did you get into music?

Jacki Drane: I didn’t really grow up in a musical family. Each of my parents was involved in High School band but didn’t really pursue music any farther after that. From a young age, my mother realized that I really loved music and loved to sing, so she got me connected to a children’s choir at a local church. I started choir when I was about four or five and have been singing ever since.

Michelle Bradshaw: I am so glad that you did. I really enjoyed listening to your songs. Can you play any musical instruments?

Jacki Drane: I play guitar and piano. Fun fact, I like playing guitar when I am playing music live or leading worship, but I write most of my songs from the piano.

Michelle Bradshaw:  That's really cool. I am trying to learn guitar myself. I got an acoustic guitar for Christmas last year. What was the first tune you learned?

Jacki Drane: I’m really not sure what the first song I learned to sing was, but I remember the first song I ever learned to play on piano—it was “Mary Had A Little Lamb.” I was about seven years old and my aunt had just given me her old piano to start taking lessons on. She sat down with me and taught me that song before she left and I played it over and over again for days so that I wouldn’t forget it.

Michelle Bradshaw: What a sweet memory. What is your fondest musical memory?

Jacki Drane: This is a hard one, I have so many fantastic memories about music. I think one of the best, though, was the day my dad took me to buy my first guitar. I was seventeen and had expressed interest in guitar so that I could continue to write songs and start to learn some worship songs to share with my youth group. We went to a local music shop and spent the whole afternoon trying out different guitars before I settled on the perfect one, a tiny Seagull folk guitar. When we got home, I spent the rest of the day trying to play it, sure I could master my first song all in one day. That didn’t quite happen, but I fell in love with guitar and through the rest of High School and much of college that guitar went with me just about everywhere.

Michelle Bradshaw: Besides being musically inclined do you feel like you have any other talents?

Jacki Drane: I’m not sure if running is considered a talent, but coaching cross- country has shown me that I have a passion for teaching others to do their very best. I think that comes through in campus ministry, as well. I like to get to know people and figure out how I can support them and help them reach their potential.

Michelle Bradshaw:  I know what you mean. That's what I love about my website. I love that I can help support others in their calling. I think it's really neat that you are training for your 8th marathon btw. Are there any new songs or albums on the horizon for you?

Jacki Drane: Currently I’m working on a new 5-song EP that will hopefully release next year. I also have a few collaborative songs in the works that I’m really excited about.

Michelle Bradshaw: I can't wait to hear it! If you weren't a songwriter what would you see yourself doing as a career?

Jacki Drane: If I wasn’t a songwriter or serving in ministry, I think I could see myself teaching Bible or British Lit. Sometimes I daydream about becoming a college professor. Only time will tell…

Michelle Bradshaw: I believe you could totally do it if God leads you down that path. What advice would you give to your younger self?

Jacki Drane: I’d say you have to believe in yourself and really love what you do. Don’t wait on someone else to believe in you, believe in yourself and get to work. And IT WILL BE WORK. You have to practice. You have to work to be the best you possibly can be and then work to become even better. You have to be willing to hear the word “no” over and over again and not give up.

I think I waited for so many years for someone else to encourage me to pursue music. If I did it all over again, I wouldn’t wait for that. I love songwriting, I love what I do, so I don’t need to wait for others to cheer for me or spur me on. I just need to keep doing what I love and share it along the way.

Michelle Bradshaw: That is GREAT advice that we can all live by. Do you have anything specific you want to say to your fans?

Jacki Drane: I want to say thank you! Thank you for your support—for listening and sharing and downloading and encouraging me along the way. And thank you for your feedback! The most rewarding moments as a songwriter are when you hear how your music touched someone else’s life or encouraged them. I hope that my songs remind you that Jesus loves you and cares for you and usher you into His sweet presence.

Michelle Bradshaw: How can fans discover more about you and your music?

Jacki Drane: The best way is to follow on Social Media or check out my website.

I would like to introduce "The Awesome Guys from About A Mile" as our "Artist of the Month" for the month of September. Here is the personal interview that we were blessed with.

Candie and Michelle:
Were there other names in the mix before you decided on About A Mile? How did you make your decision?

About a Mile: I wish I could pick up my guitar with the same attitude Jesus had when he picked up the cross. When you think of "About A Mile" you can picture Jesus carrying his cross that far and it gives you the desire to serve others!

Candie and Michelle: :) What do you like most about living in TN? How does it compare to where you used to live?

About A Mile: I like the parks. They're really beautiful. It's about 15-20 degrees warmer than Butler, PA all the time so that's great! I miss my family at times, but we have family down here now so God is good.

Candie and Michelle: Yes he is! How do you balance your career with your family?

About A Mile: Family>career

Candie and Michelle: Did each of you grow up in a musical family?

About A Mile: We're blood brothers by the way. Yeah, our dad was a singer songwriter as a hobby and he was really good so I took after him and we loved jamming late into the night. My parents can sleep through anything! Well, anything except the tiptoeing of a teenager coming home late. ha ha

Candie and Michelle: LOL. Can y’all play any other instruments besides the ones you play now?

About A Mile: Luke plays mandolin and trumpet; he can pretty much dabble in everything. We can all play a little piano but I'd like to get really good at it.

Candie and Michelle: Go for it! :) Who are your biggest supporters?

About a Mile: That's hard to say but probably WORD records, Ian Eskelin and the radio stations that are playing us. No other support was possible without theirs.

Candie and Michelle: So glad you have that support. What was the first tune(s) you learned?

About A Mile: Looney Tunes ;)

Candie and Michelle: Ha ha! What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

About A Mile: We've had Bible study at our house on Tuesdays since before I was born. There were a few talented friends that would share songs there. People that wrote songs at factories to stay sane, not at labels to get paid. There was something magical to me about those first encounters of songwriting. I rarely made it through a bible study without a song of my own written on the back of the study sheet.

Candie and Michelle: Good memories. :) Besides being musically inclined do you feel you have any other talents?

About A Mile: Levi can break dance and skateboard and ...basically is the most talented person I know! Any extreme sport he could go pro at; he can literally do everything great except for math. ha ha

Luke is really smart and a good businessman! He holds the brand together and he's a great writer!

I'm not the best at anything but God can use all of us :)

Candie and Michelle: Where has been your favorite place to perform on past tours so far?

About A Mile: All of the Winter jam shows have been incredible! It's more about the people and the setup than the location. Oceans are nice to play by though.

Candie and Michelle: I hope to go to a Winter jam show in the future. Is there anywhere that you haven’t performed at yet that you would really like to?

About A Mile: In small African villages that don't know Jesus. There are days when sold out arenas of Christians don't feel like enough but one unsaved person finding Jesus makes it feel like more than noise!

Candie and Michelle: :) Are there new songs or albums in the horizon for About A Mile?

About A Mile: We're writing every week! If the Lord chooses to bless us in that way we'll make as many albums as possible.

Candie and Michelle: If you weren’t a musician what would you see yourself doing as a career?

About A Mile: I'd open a summer camp where kids come and learn worship songs and call it "Jeremy Camp".

Candie and Michelle: He he. What advice would you give to your younger selves?

About A Mile:
Love like you're not scared

Give when it's not fair
Live life for another
Take time for a brother
Fight for the weak ones
Speak out for freedom
Find faith in the battle
Stand tall but above it all
Fix your eyes on Him

Candie and Michelle: Love that song. Great words to live by. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your fans?

About A Mile: We love you and we need your help getting the word out about our music!

Candie and Michelle: I hope we can help with that. How can fans discover more about you and you r music?

About A Mile: Go to Aboutamile.com and add us on all of your socials :)

Thank you Guys so much for taking the time to sit down with us. We both feel really blessed to be featuring you this month.

I would like to introduce "The
Delightful Adam Cappa" as our "Artist of the Month" for the month of May. Here is the personal interview that we were blessed with.

Candie and Michelle: When did you start singing?

Adam Cappa: I started singing when I was 16. Right at the time I met the Lord. It was the overflow of what was happening in my heart and the only way it could come out.

Candie and Michelle: What do you like most about living in Richmond, IN?

Adam Cappa: Richmond is home. There is nothing better than being in a place where family is and where people support you! I love that Richmond is a place desiring to follow Jesus and to see lives changed.

Candie and Michelle: It sounds like a wonderful place to live. How do you balance your career with time with your family?

Adam Cappa: It's never easy being away from the ones you love. My family has been involved from the very beginning. Rooting me on and praying for me. They come to as many shows as they can:) I get them in the loop of what's happening while I'm on the road or in the studio because they are my biggest fans and supporters!

Candie and Michelle: So glad you have that great support system. Did you grow up in a musical family?

Adam Cappa: Not at all!:) My father and brother are in Law Enforcement and I thought that's where I would end up as well.

Candie and Michelle: All of your fans are thankful that you chose to get into music. Can you play any instruments?

Adam Cappa: I play guitar as well as a little piano but my first instrument was trumpet.

Candie and Michelle: I love the piano and guitar. Who is your biggest supporter?

Adam Cappa: My family without a doubt! Along with Jeremy Camp:)

Candie and Michelle:  What a blessing to have Jeremy Camp as a mentor/supporter. What was the first tune(s) you learned?

Adam Cappa: Light the Fire by Bill Maxwell. All in All by Dennis Jernigan. Wonder wall by Oasis.

Candie and Michelle: All good songs. What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

Adam Cappa: My fondest musical memories are many. A few of my favorites are: Writing and recording my first album called "Carry Me" when I was in college.Playing a sold out show and my hometown arena.Touring with Jeremy Camp.Playing all over the world.

Candie and Michelle: All of those are great memories. Besides being musically inclined do you feel you have any other talents?

Adam Cappa: I'm pretty skilled at jumping rope:) I earned a bronze medal in the Junior Olympics in middle school.

Candie and Michelle: Got a jump rope video to share?  ;) What do you do in your downtime?

Adam Cappa: I use my telescope on clear nights. Shoot guns with my buds. Starting to read more. Dream about traveling to places I've never been.

Candie and Michelle: I love space myself. Which artist(s) or band(s) do you feel has influenced you the most? Who do you admire?

Adam Cappa: Obviously Jeremy Camp:) He's had such an impact on my music and walk with the lord since we became buds and began ministry together. Others are Matt Wertz and Dave Barnes. They were the first guys I looked up to after I met the Lord and wanted to imitate being like them. I'm a One Republic fan as well. I've found in my effort and failure to sound like them along I've discovered my own sound.

Candie and Michelle: I thought you would say Jeremy Camp. ;) I love One Republic too. Where has been your favorite place to perform on past tours so far?

Adam Cappa: My favorite place has been in Belgium. I love the hearts of the people there and have made such amazing friendships along away.

Candie and Michelle: Pictures please. lol :) Do you have any pre-show rituals to prepare for a performance?

Adam Cappa: I pray for the Lord's anointing and words only for the hearts of the people in attendance each night.

Candie and Michelle: What is your favorite song to perform? Why?

Adam Cappa: My favorite song to share is "How Worthy", because it's so close to my heart. It's a song that took more than 7 years to write because I was coming to know my Savior and how worthy He is to be praised in my life.

Candie and Michelle: :) How do you unwind after a show?

Adam Cappa: Usually eating something and late night conversations with the guys on the bus.

Candie and Michelle: Sounds like fun. Is there anywhere that you haven’t performed at yet that you would really like to?

Adam Cappa: Hoping to play in Rome this November. I've been a few times and haven't played yet. Praying it works out:) I'm also hoping to be in London, Ireland and Australia soon!:)

Candie and Michelle: All great places that are on bucket list. Is there any other artist(s) or band(s) that you would like to play with?

Adam Cappa: My dream for the longest time was to open for Switchfoot. I was able to last year! I would love to do something with David Crowder sometime.

Candie and Michelle: I pray it happens for you. How do you feel like your sound has changed during the course of your career?

Adam Cappa: I started as a rocker and have landed in pop, but the Lord has always pointed my songs to glorify Him and lead others in worship.

Candie and Michelle: What Song of yours are you the most proud of?

Adam Cappa: Each song is so different and shows a different depth of my heart so that's a really hard question answer. But if I had to choose one I would go with How Worthy again. It's just so close to my heart.

Candie and Michelle: I can understand that. What has been your most memorable fan moment?

Adam Cappa: The first time hearing how my songs had impacted their life and pointed them to Christ. Always so cool to hear that and to see people singing the songs from stage.

Candie and Michelle: I can imagine that it is. Are there new songs or albums in the horizon for you?

Adam Cappa: Oh yes! Just finishing up a new album now that will be released this year!

Candie and Michelle: Can't wait to hear it. If you weren’t a musician what would you see yourself doing as a career?

Adam Cappa: I would be a police officer. Maybe even trying to be in the Secret Service.

Candie and Michelle: What advice would you give to your younger self?

Adam Cappa: Nothing in this world is worth as much as Christ. You're relationship with Jesus is the most important decision you can make and choose to honor.

Candie and Michelle: Great advice. What advice would you give to an artist or band starting out?

Adam Cappa: Don't try to get open the doors. Let the Lord open them and be obedient to walk through them. Never underestimate your platform. You are exactly where God needs you to be in the moment. Be faithful there and if He chooses to move you, then follow.  You will have the largest impact you can on the Kingdom of God when you are faithful with what He has given you and when you remember that Christ is the reason you do it.

Candie and Michelle: Also good advice. Are there any new artist(s) or band(s) that have grasped your interest?

Adam Cappa: I haven't heard many new bands recently. But I know the Lord is stirring and moving within them.

Candie and Michelle: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your fans?

Adam Cappa: Same advice as I would give to my yonger self.
Nothing in this world is worth as much as Christ. You're relationship with Jesus is the most important decision you can make and choose to honor. Read your Bibles and love Jesus above all things! He is worth it!

Candie and Michelle: How can fans discover more about you and you r music?

Adam Cappa: Facebook is the best way. As well as Twitter and Instagram. Of course coming to a show you can chat with me face to face. I always come out to hang! You can also visit adamcappa.com

Thank you Adam so much for taking the time to sit down with us. We both feel really blessed to be featuring you this month.

"The Phenomenal Guys from Sidewalk Prophets"

I would like to introduce "The Phenomenal Guys from Sidewalk Prophets" as our "Artist of the Month" for the month of April. Here is the personal interview that we were blessed with.

Candie and Michelle: When did you all start singing and playing?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: Sidewalk Prophets began in October of 2001 in Anderson, Indiana, at Anderson University. My buddy Ben McDonald and I started songwriting and recording together out of our dorm room, playing all over campus, and eventually hitting the road to the lead worship at local camps, churches and events. Our first recordings were made using a microphone taped to our ceiling. We would invite our friends to come into the room and record our songs live. It was a lot of fun.

Candie and Michelle: That does sound like a lot of fun and a lot of good memories. Were there other names in the mix before you decided on Sidewalk Prophets? How did you make your decision?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: Our band’s first name was “4 Floorz II Heaven.” It was kind of a joke since we started on the 4th floor of our dorm, the top floor closest to heaven. We realized this name was terrible when we got offered to play chapel. We needed a new name and spent all night trying to discover the perfect name. I settled on “Sidewalk” from a Jars of Clay song called, “Art in Me.” It’s one of my favorite songs and the opening line mentions “images on the sidewalk.” The song reminds me that God is always speaking, and we long to be a band that listens closely to His voice, however that may come. “Prophet” was the word of the day from Ben’s dictionary calendar. It is defined as “someone that tells the truth about life.” That simple definition spoke volumes. The two together remind us to listen to God and speak the truth about life, which is His love.

Candie and Michelle: Wow. I really love the meaning behind your band name. What do you like most about living in TN? What do you miss most about where you used to live?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I love Nashville. It is a big city that feels small. It’s full of music and events and great churches and amazing people. I do miss Terre Haute, Indiana. It will always be my hometown, but my folks still live there, so I visit as often as possible and see friends when I head back. I miss all the Colts football fans when away from Indiana. Here in Nashville I refuse to root for the Titans, and I sometimes catch flack for that.

Candie and Michelle: I would love to visit Nashville one of these days.  How do you balance your career with your family?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: The road is tough. It always will be. There is always something inside each of us that longs for home. But I know I am called to do what I do all over this country and even the world. I am not married, but I am constantly amazed by my band-mates that are, and their ability to balance what God has called us to do with spending time with their family.

Candie and Michelle: I understand what you are saying. Did each of you grow up in a musical family?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: My dad was an organ player in a band when I was very young. My mom actually went into labor at one of my dad’s shows. Mom said I was born into music. She was the one that taught me my first guitar chords. She played and inspired the first graders she taught.

Candie and Michelle: Awww, what a sweet memory you have there. Can y’all play any other instruments besides the ones you play now?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I played the Bass Clarinet in middle school and high school, along with the Tenor Saxophone in Jazz Band. I play enough guitar to get by. Our bass player Cal can play just about any stringed instrument you set in front of him.

Candie and Michelle:  Y'all are all really talented. Who are your biggest supporters?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: Our families. They are the ones that provide constant encouragement and believed in us enough to allow us to go across the world worshiping Christ. Our fans also have been incredibly supportive all through our careers. From heartfelt stories told after the show to a kick starter campaign to help us fund our first bus, our fans show up in amazing ways to keep us traveling on this great journey.

Candie and Michelle: So glad you have such an amazing support system. What was the first tune(s) you learned?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: The first song I ever sang in front of people was Larry Norman’s, “I Wish We’d All Been Ready.” It was recorded by DC Talk in the 90’s, and after my dad encouraged me and sang alongside me, I found the courage to sing in front of my home church. It’s an incredible song.

Candie and Michelle: We will have to listen to it. :) What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets :I loved listening to records. I doubt many people even remember turntables and record players, but I had a Fisher Price one that I played all the time. My favorite record was anything Disney. I also loved Michael Jackson.

As far as my favorite concerts go, one of my fondest memories was gong in high school to a Newsboys concert. It rained and even hailed that day at the festival, so their show was canceled. We were in tents spending the night. Around, 11pm we hear a voice from the stage that says that anyone that is still up for a show should come to the barn out behind the stage. The Newsboys rocked that barn until cops came because of noise complaints. It was fun, exciting and true worship that night.

Candie and Michelle: Dave, I can totally see you rocking out on that record player. Lol. The concert sounds like it would have been totally fun. Besides being musically inclined do you feel you have any other talents?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I love to read and write stories. I actually was an English Education major in college. I also memorized all the countries of the world and can touch my toes to the top of my head. Lol.

Candie and Michelle: That's what I called talented Dave. Ha ha.. What do you do in your downtime?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I read, play basketball, watch cartoons and play video games with my band-mates. My favorite video game is Super Mario Bros. 3, but I usually play sports games (FIFA, Madden, NBA 2K) with my buddies.

Candie and Michelle: Alright then. Next time y'all come to Rome we are playing Super Mario Bros. Ha ha. Which artist(s) or band(s) do you feel has influenced you the most? Who do you admire?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I love so many artists from the Beatles to DC Talk, from Counting Crows to Stevie Wonder. I love the musicianship of the band Nickel Creek, the voice of Mariah Carey, and the melodies and whimsy of the Sherman Brothers. I think all of them have influenced my writing. I greatly admire Audio Adrenaline. They were a band that gave us a chance when we were starting out. They called me up on stage and had me sing, and it was a catalyst in realizing my calling and dedicating my life to a reckless faith.

Candie and Michelle: All of those are great musicians. Where has been your favorite place to perform on past tours so far? I’m sure you Guys are excited about the “Great Big Family Room Tour”.

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: We got to perform at Disney World, which was a dream come true for me. This last tour we played with Casting Crowns at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. That place is gorgeous. Seeing 9,000 people outside among God’s creation singing and praising Him is a memory I’ll always hold dear.

The family room tour is gonna be great. We want to break down the wall of audience and performer. We hope the night feels like one big party with us in the family room even if we are at theaters and churches. There will be pizza parties and all sorts of fun surprises. I’m truly excited.

Candie and Michelle: Sounds like a lot of fun. Hope y'all can come to Rome, Ga one day. Do you have any pre-show rituals to prepare for a performance?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I have some vocal warm-ups which usually take about 20-30 minutes. We also make sure and pray as a band before every show just to make sure we remember why we do what we do.

Candie and Michelle: What is your favorite song to perform? Why?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I will always love playing “You Love Me Anyway.” It was the song that we moved from Indiana to Nashville with 8 years ago. Even after singing it all these years, I get emotional singing it. If you mean what you say, which I attempt to do everyday, then singing “I am the thorn in Your crown” is not easy. But He does love us anyway.

Candie and Michelle: Amen to that. Love that song. Makes me cry. How do you unwind after a show?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: We always sign autographs after the show, and that is usually where people get a chance to share their hearts and stories. That always encourages me. It’s a perfect reminder that this journey isn’t about music, it’s about watching God change lives.

Candie and Michelle: Amen. That's so sweet that y'all take that time out for your fans. Is there anywhere that you haven’t performed at yet that you would really like to?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I would love to play at Wrigley Field! I’m a huge Chicago Cubs fan and dreamed of playing baseball when I was a kid. To play at Wrigley would be a dream come true.

Candie and Michelle: I pray that happens for you. Is there any other artist(s) or band(s) that you would like to play with?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: We have toured with so many of my favorite bands that I grew up listening to: Newsboys, all the members of DC Talk, Third Day, Audio Adrenaline. The only one we haven’t toured with that I absolutely loved was Jars of Clay. Half our band’s name was inspired by one of their songs. Their songs resonate in my heart for over a decade. I’d love to at least have coffee with Dan Hasletine someday, but to tour with them would be awesome.

Candie and Michelle: It could happen. :) How do you feel like your sound has changed during the course of your career?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I think every band strives to grow and change in the lives and in their sound. I feel like since our first release, we have been given more opportunity to broaden our musical horizon. It is such an eclectic work. There are up-tempo rock songs, raw and emotional ballads, sweeping epic anthems, and heartfelt pop tunes. As we grow deeper in our songwriting, or sound grows alongside it. I am so excited for everybody to hear our new album.

Candie and Michelle: I can't wait for it. What Song of yours are you guys the most proud of?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I think I am most proud of our song “Keep Making Me.” It is a very heavy emotional track, and we were a little afraid to release it to radio. But when we did, it resonated with thousands of people. I love hearing their stories. “Keep Making Me” is an unbiased look at some of the fears in my life. Brokenness and loneliness can sometimes haunt me, but if I can allow God to use those things to bring me closer to Him, it is a beautiful thing indeed. He continues to make us into the children of God we are everyday.

Candie and Michelle: Yes he does. That truly is a beautiful song. What has been your most memorable fan moment?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: We have the best fans ever! We consider them family. One of the coolest stories is from my buddy Evan Meade. I met his mom, Patty, after a show we were doing. It was a huge event and I was nervous. I looked out into the crowd before we went on stage and saw Patty’s shirt. On the shirt was the Superman logo with an “E” inside it, on the back was printed “Be strong for Evan.” It help calm my nerves that night. I decided to Superman-up, prayed and had a blast. After the show she came by, and I mentioned that her shirt helped me. She said the “E” stood for her son, Evan. He wasn’t at the show because he was battling leukemia at a local hospital. I prayed then and there for Evan. Years later, I am honored to say Evan beat cancer. He is a brother and a true inspiration. He still goes and serves in the Riley Children’s Hospital whenever possible, and he is currently a scholarship student at Butler University.

Candie and Michelle: Praise God! Are there new songs or albums in the horizon for Sidewalk Prophets?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: Yes, we are in the studio right now working on an amazing assortment of songs! It’s been a while, and we are ready to rock.

Candie and Michelle: Can't Wait! If you weren’t a musician what would you see yourself doing as a career?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I would be an English Teacher. I loved the time I spent in the classroom.

Candie and Michelle: Candie and I both have many years of teaching under our belt. What advice would you give to your younger selves?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: Enjoy the journey and pray as much as possible. From sleepless nights in the van all across the country, to the unrequited joy of hearing a fan’s heart and life-changing story, it is all a beautiful journey.

Candie and Michelle:  Great advice. What advice would you give to an artist or band starting out?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: The same as mentioned above. Honestly, remembering how blessed you are daily to get to go out and praise Jesus is so important. People want to hear your songs? That’s such an honor and a privilege. Be grateful, serve hard, and love a lot.

Candie and Michelle: Also good advice. Are there any new artist(s) or band(s) that have grasped your interest?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: I love so many new artists. About a Mile are rocking brothers with incredible hearts. All Sons and Daughters make incredible music that leads me to worship. Love and the Outcome and City Harbor have toured with us and made the bus a much more fun place, not to mention their extraordinary songs. I love hearing new bands, and love it even more when they are genuine people.

Candie and Michelle: I love all those bands too. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your fans?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: Come on out to the Great Big Family Room tour this spring! We literally are going to travel the country with our couches and lamps and have pizza parties and worship Jesus! Can’t wait to see everybody again. See you real soon.

Candie and Michelle: How can fans discover more about you and your music?

David Frey of Sidewalk Prophets: All they have to do is go to sidewalkprophets.com, our facebook page, or our twitter (@swprophets, @swpdave).

.
Thank y'all so much for taking the time to sit down with us. We both feel really blessed to be featuring y'all this month.

I would like to introduce "The Railers" as our "Artist of the Month" for the month of March. Here is the personal interview that we were blessed with.

Candie and Michelle:
When did you all start singing and playing?

Jonathan of The Railers:  Jordan and I have been playing together since I was 4 years old. Our family grew up in Southern Missouri and our family played in Branson at a theme park called Silver Dollar City every summer until I was 11 years old. That’s when we moved to Arizona. We would play there every summer. Every time we had a family reunion it would inevitably  end up in a big circle with everyone having guitars, mendalins, and fiddles and you just take turns playing songs and everyone would play along. So, it was a really cool way to grow up. Cassandra probably started when she was 7 or 8 taking voice lessons...taking piano and voice. Tyler really got his start on the drum set when he was in middle school and high school...super involved in the drum core and marching band stuff. We have all been playing since we were children.

Candie and Michelle: We can definitely see y'all have a rich musical history that you came from. Were there other names in the mix before you decided on The Railers? How did you make your decision?

Jonathan of The Railers: Yes. Ultimately we learned from Myspace there were a million garage bands that would set up myspace with their new band name. So it was almost impossible to find a band name that hadn’t already been taken. When we came up with The Railers it just seemed kind of like a blessing that it was a name that we could use. It really matched the energy and the attitude that were wanting to put out with our first record. We knew we wanted to do something western and kind of creative. It had to do with the western united states and all the history that’s out there because three of us have ties to Arizona so it was just the right name.

Candie and Michelle: We agree that your name fits you perfectly. :) What do you like most about living in TN? What do you miss most about where you used to live?

Jonathan of The Railers: Well TN is great, specifically Nashville is a great place to live. There is such a community here. You know coming from Arizona we weren’t affiliated with the Southern Charm and we weren't familiar with the phrase "bless your heart". So after living here for 11 years we have definitely gotten used to it. It feels like home now. Occasionally we do miss Arizona. We miss the sunshine. We miss family of-course. So we have to go back and get our fix every now and then. You know Phoenix has "In and Out" burgers so we have to go back and eat some of that.

Candie and Michelle: Nashville is definitely a place we would like to visit one day. Neither one of us have tried an "In and Out" burger either. lol. How do you balance your career with your family?

Jonathan of The Railers: You know it’s crazy because we are family. You know we do a career together. A lot of that is intertwined; there is not really a differentiation between it. It’s not only what we do but it’s who we are. So I think that the balance happens naturally. It is what it is. We try when we feel tired to take time out on the road to recharge. Jordan and I love to fish...Cassandra loves to garden...Tyler loves to be on the lake and water ski. So we try to take the time here and now to recharge and get back into the creative head space because the road can beat you up at times but that's why we do what we do to find balance.

Candie and Michelle:  We understand completely. We are so glad y'all are surrounded by that family environment and have truly found the perfect balance. Did each of you grow up in a musical family?

Jonathan of The Railers: Tyler’s Dad plays the trumpet and plays in a lot of community groups. I think his Dad is the only musical person in his family besides Tyler. Cassandra grew up in a family of athletes. She is the only musician in her family. She owns it. Jordan and I, like I mentioned before, grew up in a super musical family. We kind of span the gap on that.

Candie and Michelle:  Very interesting background there for all of y'all. Who are your biggest supporters?

Jonathan of The Railers: I would say our parents; absolutely our parents. We couldn’t do this without their support. They have been so amazing to just encourage us to follow the dream and not give up. And our friends...our friends have been wonderful to support us and come see us even when they have been the only ones in the crowd. We owe a lot to them for being there for us.

Candie and Michelle: It's wonderful that y'all have that support system.
What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

Jonathan of The Railers: I was sharing with Cassandra the other night when I was younger I was involved in a Community College production of Fiddler on the Roof. I was the fiddler. I would start the show on the roof and then come through the tunnels and go to the orchestra pit and play in the orchestra. That was a really cool memory and really cool way to get started as a kid. We all grew up playing in marching bands or doing recitals or any of that community stuff. That was just a great way to grow up as a kid and learn music and get a love for music at an early age.

Candie and Michelle: I agree. Sounds amazing. I was in the marching band as well Color Guard myself. Candie was involved in Chorus. Besides being musically inclined do you feel you have any other talents?

Jonathan of The Railers: We all definitely feel like music is our number one talent. Jordan and I love to fish. I don’t know if we are talented at it, but it is something we love to do. Jordan is really talented at putting videos together. Tyler is very talented at business. Cassandra is extremely talented at cooking and gardening. I'm talented with mostly music.

Candie and Michelle:  What do you do in your downtime?

Cassandra of The Railers: Special Ed

Jonathan of The Railers: Fishing for Jordan and I. Cassandra: gardening and special ed. She has a super heart for special education and teaching and so occasionally she goes back and does substitute teaching, specifically in special ed.

Candie and Michelle: Awww...super sweet Cassandra. Candie and I both have many years of teaching under our belt. Which artist(s) or band(s) do you feel has influenced you the most? Who do you admire?

Jonathan of The Railers: That totally runs the gamut. We have such a love for a ton of different musical styles. Growing up I was really into a band called “New Grass Revival”. I was really into “Ricky Skaggs” and the whole bluegrass thing. Now it’s like I’m going back and rediscovering some old class rock...”“Led Zeppelin’”, “Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers”. Those kind of classic albums. I feel like I’m going back to rediscover those. “The Beatles” Then the other night we were listening  to classic 90's country and Cassandra could sing every word to every song that came on. It really does run the gamut. We kind of love everything that is good.

Candie and Michelle: That is definitely a nice selection of people there that I'm sure most people know. We really see what you are saying. How was the “Tattoo Your Name" Tour with Hunter Hayes?

Jonathan of The Railers: It was absolutely amazing! Hunter is such a great musician and a great person. We became pretty good friends with him right off the bat. He definitely inspired us to bring our “A” game every night because that is what he does. He goes out and puts on an amazing show that makes everyone want to step up their game. It was really fantastic!

Candie and Michelle: That does sound amazing. We hope to see a Concert of y'alls and one of Hunter Hayes one day. What was it like singing at The Grand Ole Opry for the first time here recently?

Jonathan of The Railers: The Grand Ole Opry was absolutely a dream come true; especially considering that it was at the Ryman Auditorium. I grew up listening to the Opry and watching it on tv when it was televised. To be able to play it as an artist is a dream come true. Cassandra had dreamed about it forever. She wanted her Mom to make her dress for the Opry so her Mom made her a dress and made it before we even knew we were going to play on the Opry. She said just keep this around for the day you get to play. Her Mom actually got to come out from Arizona and see the Opry along with our parents. It was a pretty special night. It was amazing.

Candie and Michelle: What a wonderful experience that y'all were able to share with your families. Do you have any pre-show rituals to prepare for a performance?

Jonathan of The Railers: Usually it’s kind of the normal thing; we get together and offer a blessing over the performance. We remind ourselves to go out and play like we are in a stadium full of people. We want to have the party on stage and we want everyone else to join in with that. That’s kind of our ritual to pump ourselves up and make sure we have a good time.

Candie and Michelle: Sounds like a great way to start a show. What is your favorite song to perform? Why?

Jonathan of The Railers: Lately it has been “Kinda Dig The Feeling”. I know everybody says their single. That’s the song we play at the end of the show. That's the one that we get so energetic and pumped up about and that point it’s like if you had any energy left from the first part of the show you would totally dump the rest of that out on that song and just go nuts. It’s always fun to watch Cassandra dance around and go crazy on that song. So usually by the end of the show, once we get to that song, you are just spent. Once the show is over you are done because you have left it all on stage.

Candie and Michelle: Nice choice. I can't tell you the amount of times I've listened to it and danced around the house myself. How do you unwind after the show?

Cassandra of The Railers: Dance Party

Jonathan of The Railers: It seems like we are kind of split down the middle because Cassandra and Tyler, the show excites them, so it takes them a long time to come down after the show is over. With Jordan and I both I am so out of energy by the end of the show because I’ve tried to put so much into it that I am just dead after the show. For all of us it is usually get on the bus, listen to music or put on a movie, drink a beer, or play guitar. Whatever. Just try to calm down and get ready to do it all again the next day. It’s awesome. After the show it’s the best time.  Especially after show food: pizza.

Candie and Michelle: Is there anywhere that you haven’t performed at yet that you would really like to?

Jonathan of The Railers: I would honestly like to play with “Little Big Town”. I think that would be a great fit and “Zac Brown Band”. I’m hugely respectful of their artistry and their music and the songs that they write. I think that both of those bands would be a pretty amazing fit for us so that is what I’m going to go with.

Candie and Michelle: Both of those are great choices. I love them both.
How do you feel like your sound has changed during the course of your career?

Jonathan of The Railers: Our sound started out a little more brassy; maybe a little more Nickle Creek-ish. I think we’ve added an edge to it over the course of the last couple years. It’s cool to have a sweeter sound but I think we’ve wanted to add a little more bite to it. I feel like when we go play live there is a lot of energy and a lot more, maybe aggressiveness would be a good word for it, and a lot of attitude. We’ve tried to add all of that to the sound of our music. I think we have come up with something that is pretty unique that I don’t think you could say that sounds like any one other artist.

Candie and Michelle: What Song of yours are you guys the most proud of?

Jonathan of The Railers: I have to go with “I don’t love you”. I think that is a great song. It hasn’t been released yet, but if you have been to a show then you have probably heard it. It is definitely a fan favorite.

Candie and Michelle: We can't wait to hear that song. What has been your most memorable fan moment?

Jonathan of The Railers: For us it was really cool when we played the Opry we had fans coming from Detroit, fans coming from Arizona, fans coming up from the South because they knew that was an important part of our career. They wanted to come support that. For them to do that and then wait outside of The Ryman for us to come out and come and say hi and show their support was pretty amazing. We have wonderful fans.

Candie and Michelle: Awww. :) Are there new songs or albums in the horizon for The Railers?

Jonathan of The Railers: Yes. Our first record is going to be coming out whenever Warner Brothers puts it out. We are about to wrap that up so hopefully that will come out sooner than later. It’s going to be exciting. We are really proud of it.

Candie and Michelle:  Awesome I can't wait to hear it. If you weren’t a musician what would you see yourself doing as a career?

Jonathan of The Railers: I don’t know. For me it would probably be something outdoorsy. I really love to get out in nature;coming from Arizona. Arizona is a really active outdoor community. So probably something in nature. Cassandra would probably be a gardener. I don’t know. It’s like we’ve been doing music for so long that we haven’t given much thought to what we would be doing otherwise. There is no back up plan. This is it. .

Candie and Michelle: What advice would you give to your younger selves?

Cassandra of The Railers: Never Give up

Jonathan of the Railers: Never Give up. It’ll happen man.

Candie and Michelle: Good advice. What advice would you give to an artist or band starting out?

Cassandra of The Railers: Never Give up

Jonathan of The Railers: Never Give up. Absolutely. It takes a lot of work. I’ve had a lot of people come and tell me I’m thinking about moving to Nashville. What do you recommend. The best advice that you can give to a person starting out in music is if there is anything else that you could see yourself doing that would make you happy then go and do it because the music industry is tough. It is hard work. It is a lot of sacrifice. There are people out there that this is all that they can see themselves doing with their lives and so if that is the case and it’s worth the sacrifice then you can go for it and get it done. Be ready. It is going to be a ton of tough work. There is going to be lots of highs and lots of lows.

Candie and Michelle: Excellent Advice. Are there any new artist(s) or band(s) that have grasped your interest?

Cassandra of The Railers: Brett Eldredge

Jonathan of The Railers: Cassandra and I went to college with Brett. She’s known him especially for a long time. It was so cool when he asked to open for him on tour about a year ago. Just getting to be out there and see the success that he is starting to have is really cool. Nobody deserves it more. He is such a great dude.

Candie and Michelle:  We will have to check him out. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your fans?

Jonathan of The Railers: Thank you guys for being the fans in the world. You’re wicked awesome! They are the best. We promise we will have an album out soon. Hopefully.

Cassandra of The Railers: Y’all are wicked awesome!!! We promise we will have an album out.

I would like to introduce the terrific  guys from 3Union: Brandon, Shaun, and Ryan Boyd as our "Artist of the Month" for the month of September. Here is the personal interview Candie and I were blessed with. Thanks so much Brandon, Shaun, and Ryan. :)

Candie and Michelle:
When did you start singing and playing?

Shaun Boyd: We started taking piano lessons when we were 5 from this really mean Ukrainian teacher. The best compliment you could ever get from her was, “that was pretty good.” After a few years our parents let us start playing other instruments. We were in junior high when we started singing.

Candie and Michelle: I feel like I speak for your fans when I say we are so glad you guys chose to venture down that road. Were there other names you considered before you decided on 3Union? How did you make your decision?

Brandon Boyd: We became a band about the time The Jonas Brothers were popular, so we didn’t want to be called The Boyd Brothers. We really had no clue what to call ourselves. One day, our dad said, “how about 3union?” We weren’t too sure at first, but after a bird pooped in the shape of a “3” on our windshield, we decided it was a sign from God! Haha!

Candie and Michelle: Very funny, Brandon. What’s it like living in Indianapolis?

Ryan Boyd: There’s corn…but we do have a lot of good friends here and it’s a great place to travel from.

Candie and Michelle: Sounds like a nice place. Did you grow up in a musical family?

Ryan Boyd: We did! Our parents are both musicians. We had a family band for a while. We actually made it to the finals of the Chicago auditions for America’s Got Talent, but they X’d us because they didn’t like our parents being in the band even though they said we sounded really good.

Candie and Michelle: Although "AGT" is a great platform for talent Candie and I both agree that God has an awesome plan for you guys. Just keep moving forward. :) Can any of you play any other musical instruments besides the ones you play now?

Shaun Boyd: We all play acoustic guitar and a little keys, Brandon and Ryan can play electric guitar and bass, Ryan plays drums on one song, I mainly play drums.

Candie and Michelle:  Cool. Who is your biggest supporter?

Brandon Boyd: Definitely our parents! Then our amazing fans!

Candie and Michelle: I'm so glad you have a good support system. What was the first tune(s) you learned?

Brandon Boyd: The first tune we learned as a band was  “What I Like About You.”

Candie and Michelle: I love that song. If I find a video of you all singing that on YouTube I am posting it on this site. Lol. What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

Shaun Boyd: That’s an easy one, playing the side stage for the Jonas Brothers in NYC 2013! That was amazing! We also enjoyed the public school tour we did in Australia last year. We were actually able to share the Gospel at most of the schools and saw over 500 students indicate decisions to follow Christ!

Candie and Michelle: Wow! The Jonas Brothers....really cool. Australia is amazing too. Praise God. Besides being musically inclined, what other talents/skills do you have?

Shaun Boyd: speaking
Ryan Boyd: sarcasm
Brandon Boyd: awkward hugs

Candie and Michelle:  *smiles and laughs quietly to self* What do you do in your downtime?

3Union: Brandon and Ryan like to play online games with our friends. Shaun likes to read and workout.

Candie and Michelle: Brandon and Ryan you would enjoy our video game review section. Shaun you would enjoy our "authors" and fitness section. ;) Which artist(s) or band(s) do you feel has influenced you the most? Who do you admire?

Brandon Boyd: We have definitely been influenced by Relient K. One band we really admire is Tenth Avenue North.

Candie and Michelle: I can see that. Two bands I would really love to feature. Where has been your favorite place to perform on past tours so far?

Ryan Boyd: We’d have to say Lebanon is always a favorite. We’ve played 4 school tours there. We need to go back there soon, although it is kinda dangerous over there right now.

Candie and Michelle:  My prayers go out to those living there. Do you have any pre-show rituals to prepare for a performance?

Shaun Boyd: We always try to pray before the show.

Candie and Michelle: That is a wonderful thing to do. How do you unwind after a show?

Brandon Boyd: Hang out with a few friends and fans at Steak N Shake and then head home to bed.

Candie and Michelle: Sounds like fun. Is there anywhere that you haven’t performed at yet that you would really like to?

Shaun Boyd: Lots of places! South America, Europe, Japan, Russia....

Candie and Michelle: Can I say Bucket List??? Are there any other artist(s) or band(s) that you would like to play with?

Ryan Boyd: A tour with Imagine Dragons or OBB would be amazing!

Candie and Michelle: That tour would be rocking!! How do you feel like your sound has changed during the course of your career?

Shaun Boyd: We started out more pop/punk although our first recording was more alternative Christian rock, our second album is more electro. Right now, we’re working now on our third recording and it’s more along the pop/rock sound.

Candie and Michelle:  Can't wait for your new album. What song of yours are you the most proud of?

3Union: A lot of our fans tell us “Back To You” has really encouraged them in their faith.

Candie and Michelle: That's great! What has been your most memorable fan moment?

Brandon Boyd: It would have to be when we played at the JoBros concert. We had a line of people wanting our autograph and they missed the opening acts just to talk to us.
Ryan and Shaun Boyd: praying for people after the Indiana State Fair.

Candie and Michelle:  Both things had to make you feel really good. Are there new songs or albums in the horizon for 3Union?

Ryan Boyd: We have been working on song new music with some amazing writers including Jeff Owen from Tenth Avenue North and Jon McLaughlin. We are also in the process of having our fans join us in creating our new album. If anyone wants to partner with us they can check out our Indiegogo campaign. Even $10 would be a huge help! Here’s the link:

Candie and Michelle: Come on guys. Help them out! Please! If you weren’t a musician, what would you see yourself doing as a career?

Shaun/Brandon Boyd: an intercessory missionary at IHOPKC
Ryan Boyd: professional cat whisperer.

Candie and Michelle: *Just smiles and shakes head at Ryan* lol What advice would you give to your younger selves?

Shaun/Ryan Boyd: don’t waste your time playing video games, take time working on useful skills.
Brandon Boyd: don’t give up when things are hard, if you start something finish it.

Candie and Michelle: Good advice but *coughs* but video games in moderation aren't all bad right...*coughs again* ;) What advice would you give to an artist or band starting out?

Shaun Boyd: meet people at local venues so you can have places to play. Work hard on your social media, without your fans, you’d be nothing.

Candie and Michelle: Also good advice. Are there any new artist(s) or band(s) that have grasped your interest?

Shaun/Ryan Boyd: We like American Authors and Andy Mineo.

Candie and Michelle: We'll check them out. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your fans?

3Union: THANK YOU! We love you and appreciate all your encouragement. And, never forget how much God loves you!

Candie and Michelle:  Your fans love you too. How can fans discover more about you and your music?

Brandon, Shaun, and Ryan: All of us are single.

Thank you Brandon, Shaun, and Ryan Boyd for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview. I feel like we all(the fans) were able to get to know y'all better.   I would like to introduce the amazing  guys from OBB: Zach, Jacob, and Nich Oswald as our "Artist of the Month" for the month of August. Here is the personal interview Candie and I were blessed with. Thanks so much Zach, Jacob, and Nich. :)

Candie and Michelle: When did you start singing and playing?

Nich Oswald: My brothers and I were all classically trained on piano from a very early age.  However, our first experience playing together came about 7 years ago when our father entered us into a “Battle of the Bands” competition at a local church.

Candie and Michelle: "Battle of the Bands" sounds like it would be a really fun and exciting experience. We know OBB stands for Oswald Brothers band, but were there other names in the mix before you decided on OBB? How did you make your decision?

Jacob Oswald: That’s actually a funny story, yes we were going to go by the name of Covenant.  We actually started a Myspace with that Band Name, but we all hated it pretty quick.

Candie and Michelle: I'm sure all of your fans would have followed you either way. :) Candie and I are both from Rome, GA so we’ve been to Atlanta. How do you like living in the city?

Jacob Oswald: We love living in Atlanta. We’re actually from Peachtree Corners (Norcross/Duluth area).  We’ve been here close to 15 years.  So really it’s all we really know.

Candie and Michelle: I understand that. Did you grow up in a musical family?

Jacob Oswald: Our grandfathers on both side are very musical, however it skipped a generation.  Our parents always wanted their children to play piano, so it was priority in our house.

Candie and Michelle: I know all of us fans are so glad that they did. Can y’all play any other instruments besides the ones you play now?

Jacob Oswald: Yes, we can all play Piano, Guitar, and bass.  Nich plays Drums too. The rest of us say we can play drums, but Nich would disagree.

Candie and Michelle: I applaud you all on being able to play all those.  Who is your biggest supporter?

Zach Oswald: Our biggest supporter would be our Parents and then a very close second would be our Grandparents.

Candie and Michelle:    So glad you have that support system. What was the first tune(s) you learned?

Zach Oswald: Hot Cross Buns. Seriously, I really can’t remember.

Candie and Michelle: Made me laugh Zach. What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

Zach Oswald: Favorite memories are jamming out with my brothers.  Or creating new music together and hearing it sung by our fans.

Candie and Michelle: Those are definitely some good memories. Besides being musically inclined do any of you feel that you are athletic?

Zach Oswald: We love everything outdoors!  We all played football for a Home school football league “GA Force”.  I (Zach) was the quarterback, Jacob was a running back and receiver, He could seriously catch anything, and Nich was really just starting when music became our major focus.

Candie and Michelle: Sounds like y'all had a nice time with that. What do you do in your downtime?

Nich Oswald: We love to be outdoors so whether we’re shooting a bow and arrow, boating, skiing or sharing our faith with people we meet.  When we’re not working, we’re never indoors.

Candie and Michelle: All those sound like fun. Which artist(s) or band(s) do you feel has influenced you the most? Who do you admire?

Nich Oswald: Switchfoot, Coldplay and One Republic

Candie and Michelle: I love all three of those choices too. I love your Cover of Coldplay's "Magic". Tell us about your experience with “The Singing Family Face Off"?

Zach Oswald: “The singing family face off” was a great experience.  It basically started our musical journey.  It opened so many doors and started many amazing friendships.

Candie and Michelle: I can see how it could do that. We(the fans) are so glad it did. Where has been your favorite place to perform on past tours so far?

Zach Oswald: Rock the Universe in Orlando because we got to ride rides with our fans!

Candie and Michelle: I bet that made for a lot of excited fans. Do you have any pre-show rituals to prepare for a performance?

Nich Oswald: We circle up and pray before every show.

Candie and Michelle: That, in my opinion, is one of the best things you can do. I, myself, pray before I write anything. How do you unwind after a show?

Nich Oswald: We usually eat and go to bed.

Candie and Michelle: I can see why. I imagine you are tired after a show. Is there anywhere that you haven’t performed at yet that you would really like to?

Jacob Oswald: We haven’t been to England yet as a band, we would enjoy traveling abroad as a band.

Nich Oswald: Red rocks would be cool too.

Candie and Michelle: Both are nice places. Maybe God will open a door to allow y'all to go to each place. Is there any other artist(s) or band(s) that you would like to play with?

Zach, Jacob, and Nich: Coldplay, One Republic, Switchfoot, Need to Breathe

Candie and Michelle: All wonderful bands. I say again maybe God will open that door for y'all.  How do you feel like your sound has changed during the course of your career?

Zach, Jacob, and Nich: I feel we have discovered our sound.

Candie and Michelle: We(the fans) are so glad you did. What Song of yours are you the most proud of?

Zach, Jacob, and Nich: Up Close and Personal, Brightside.  But, we like them all.

Candie and Michelle: Oh from your new album, "Brightside", that is coming out in September which is available for pre-order on your website. (Link at the bottom of the interview). I can't wait to hear them all. What has been your most memorable fan moment?

Zach Oswald: We have the best fans ever. Probably when our fans travel so far to come to a show and bring gifts.  They truly inspire us to be the best we can be.

Candie and Michelle: That is sweet. I would feel the same way. Are there new songs or albums in the horizon for OBB?

Nich Oswald: Yes, we have our first full album coming out in September.  It’s actually available now for presale. (Link at the bottom of the interview)

Candie and Michelle:  I can't wait to hear it. If you weren’t a musician what would you see yourself doing as a career?

Zach Oswald: Something with computers.

Nich Oswald: Something technical for sure.

Jacob Oswald: I would find a way to do something in music.

Candie and Michelle: All good choices. What advice would you give to your younger selves?

Zach Oswald: Warm up and play with a click always.

Candie and Michelle: That sounds like good advice. What advice would you give to an artist or band starting out?

Zach Oswald: Warm up and play with a click always.

Candie and Michelle: Good advice. Are there any new artist(s) or band(s) that have grasped your interest?

Jacob Oswald: We love music of all genres.  We are always meeting new artists at festivals/concerts.  There are many talented musicians that we are honored to share the stage with!

Candie and Michelle: Feel free to send them to this site if they would like to be featured. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your fans?

Jacob Oswald:  You are the Best!  We have the Best fans in the world!  Everyone else may say it, but we really do!

Candie and Michelle: I say thank you from all of us.(the fans) How can fans discover more about you and your music?

Zach, Jacob, and Nich: Come out to a show. Go to our website www.obbmusic.com for full tour.

Candie and Michelle: So Guys I just gotta ask because all the girls wanna know are any of you single?

Zach, Jacob, and Nich: We’re all single.

Thank you Zach, Jacob, and Nich Oswald for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview. I feel like we all(the fans) were able to get to know y'all better.
